Mechanical Engineering is the discipline that applies the principles of engineering, physics and material science for the design, analysis, manufacturing and maintenance of engines, machines and other mechanically functioning equipments. The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in 2014 with an aim to provide application based quality education to students. The Department places heavy emphasis on the laboratory component in the teaching curriculum and innovative research projects. Students are exposed to real industry situations through industrial visits and trainings. Regular activities are also organized to enhance the morale of students. The Department has well qualified and experienced team of faculty specialized in different fields of Mechanical Engineering, who are committed to provide quality education.

Following are the well equipped labs in the Department to cater the needs of the diploma students:

  • Mechanical Engg Lab

  • Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulics Machines Lab

  • TOM and Measurement Lab

  • Heat Power Lab

  • Automobile Lab

  • Workshop

  • CAD/CAM Lab

  • Engg Drawing Lab

Vision:

  • To be recognized as a Center of Excellence in preparing the students to face global challenges in the field of Mechanical Engineering.

Mission:

  • M1 :- To impart latest technology and skill by adopting best teaching practices with adequate infrastructure.
  • M2 :- To promote linkages with industry for offering industry based training.
  • M3 :- To prepare overall competent and socially committed mechanical engineers with morals and ethical value.
