GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC, GAJAPATI at Odagaon was founded in the year 2014 in the unserved area of Nayagarh district under MHRD, Govt. of India, has been a leading Technical Education Institution of the State under the administration of Directorate of Technical Education & Training (DTE&T), Odisha, Cuttack. 

This Institution offers Diploma in Engineering courses like Civil (60 intake), Mechanical (60 intake) and Electrical (60 intake) Engineering with total intake capacity 180 students per year.
